IT ALL BEGAN in a primitive ocean nearly a half billion years ago during the Paleozoic era. These two aquatic beings inhabited a prehistoric environment known as the Paleo-Tethys Ocean, which then became the Tethys Ocean, located where present day India, Pakistan, Indonesia and the Indian Ocean now sit. This primordial body of water traveled around the surface of the Earth through the eons evolving and transforming into what we know today as the Sahara desert region in Morocco.
